Trust us — it tastes far better than anything you’ll find at the supermarket! This salad pairs perfectly with Sunflower Seed Breadsticks.

What we will need:

  • 4 medium carrots
  • 4 radishes or about one turnip
  • Celery (optional, to taste)
  • Pickled cucumber, to taste
  • 1½ cups mayonnaise
  • 1 cup strained cow’s yogurt
  • 1 tbsp ketchup

Execution:

  1. Wash the vegetables thoroughly and peel them.
  2. Grate the carrots, radishes, and pickled cucumber on the coarse side of a grater.
  3. Finely chop the celery.
  4. Let the vegetables sit in a strainer for about an hour to release any excess liquid. Add a pinch of salt if desired.
  5. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the ketchup and then add the vegetables.
  6. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve the salad with Sunflower Seed Breadsticks, or enjoy it as a side dish. It also makes a great sandwich filling!
