Dakos with Roasted Cherry Tomatoes
Crete’s most beloved dish with a twist! Dakos with roasted cherry tomatoes and Sfakian Barley Rusks. A recipe by Vasilis Patsis!
What we will need:

- 300 g cherry tomatoes, halved
- 200 g feta, crumbled
- 3 Sfakian Barley Rusks
- 1 tsp fresh oregano
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1 tbsp olives
- ½ tbsp garlic powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive oil
For serving:
Capers, pickled chili peppers, and balsamic cream.
Execution:
- Place the cherry tomatoes in a bowl with oregano, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and sauté the cherry tomatoes over high heat for 4–5 minutes.
- Arrange the rusks on a plate and top with the roasted tomatoes.
- Add the crumbled feta, olives, capers or caper leaves, drizzle with olive oil, and finish with balsamic cream.
