Coleslaw Salad

Homemade coleslaw salad with cabbage, carrot and mayonnaise. A perfect side dish for the festive table! A recipe by Vasilis Patsis!

What we will need:

    • 300 g white cabbage, very thinly sliced
    • 1 white onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 medium carrot, grated on the coarse side of a grater
    • ½ bunch parsley, finely chopped
    • 100 g good-quality mayonnaise
    • ½ green apple, diced
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • 50 ml white wine vinegar
    • 1 tsp mustard
    • Toasted Bread with Turmeric and Mustard

 

Execution:

  1. Slice the cabbage into very thin strips and place it in a bowl with the grated carrot.
  2. Add the onion, chop the parsley finely, and place it in the bowl as well.
  3. Dice the apple into small cubes and add it to the bowl along with the vinegar and mustard.
  4. Add the mayonnaise, salt, and pepper, and mix everything well with your hands so the mayonnaise spreads evenly.
  5. Just before serving, crumble Toasted Bread with Turmeric and Mustard into the salad for extra flavor and crunch. If desired, serve with additional Toasted Bread on the side as a dip.
